The Journey of the Treasure Box, by me, J. L. Russell, 7/4/21.
It was a treasure, one that was a thing of beauty and worth more than any precious stone and all the money on earth. The stories the treasure box could tell of its journey in life, would take months if not years to tell. At one time it was strong, sturdy, and shined for all to see. Now, it was tattered, torn, and had many scars.
Yet, You knew without a doubt there was something still there, something was still inside, a treasure, a thing of beauty, something others needed to see, once the inside got fresh air.
You reached out, lifting it up and held it in Your hands. You slowly and gently restored the treasure box to a thing of beauty for others to see. What once was tattered, You mended. What once was torn, You repaired. What once had scars, You healed, to where the scars no longer were there. The treasure box now looked brand new, for it had be found and taken care of by You. You mended it, healed it, and made it Your own. The was no doubt who the treasure box belonged to now.
Isaiah 41:10 “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Psalm 147:3 “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”
