About the Author: Patricia L. Styers
I have had a heart for the Lord from a young age. I first raised my hand to receive the Lord at an after-school Bible Club held in someone's home when I was about 11 or 12 years old. Although I did not fully understand it, I had a heart for God. On January 15, 1969, I was blessed to attend a Billy Graham Crusade with my pastor, his son and another friend. I and my two friends were the last three to get into the building that night. The others had to go into an overflow building. That night was ordained by God and my two friends and I went forward. After that, I began to really understand more and loved the Lord and His Word.
My life has not been without pitfalls and I am far from perfect. God has always been so faithful to me and I am extremely grateful for that. He has extended grace, mercy and forgiveness to me many times. I am so grateful that God loves me and for His guidance in my life. Having Jesus at the center of my life. has made all the difference!
I have a heart to teach people and disciple them to help them grow into maturity in the Lord. I believe that we need to stay teachable and always be learning more until we take our last breath on this earth and join Him in Heaven. I am still learning but I want to help others by sharing the things God has taught me along the way. Above all else, when I get to Heaven, I want to hear my Lord say, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant."
I am, most importantly, a child, servant and friend of God. I am called to be an exhorter and teacher. I love encouraging people and helping them grow into mature Christians. I have been writing blogs and posting about the Lord and His Word on social media for years. Last year (2020), I wrote two books and also co-authored some books with my best friend, J. L. Russell, who is a very creative story-teller. As of July 7, 2021, we have twelve books published. I am also a chaplain and ordained minister.
