Had a strong vision this morning. God woke me up at 2:45am, this morning so I got up and came into the living room. After a few minutes of praying I stopped and listened. Among other things God blessed me with a vision.
I saw a very thick, dark, root. Think of a root that is as wide and thick as a tree. The next thing I know an axe appears and starts chopping very quickly at the root chopping it off, but the vision is not over. A shovel appears suddenly and very quickly digs all around what’s left of the root.
The shovel then goes underneath the root lifting it out so never to sprout again. As I was writing the word sprout God said, “Resurface.” So, not only not to sprout but never to resurface.
There are things in our life which can be the root to many problems. We not only need to chop it off, we need to cut off, what’s causing the problem. We need to use the shovel to completely go down deep, revealing the root of the problem, thereby releasing us of it so it can never resurface or grow again.
When we do this, when we allow God to reveal things to us, the freedom, the joy, the things He has for us can then be poured into the hole that the root left. We must let go and let God do the work in us that He wants to do. If we don’t, no matter how much chopping is done at the root, the problem will continue to come back, because we did not let Him use the shovel to release us totally of it.
Isaiah 43:18-19 “Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”
