Loving someone right into hell…

We can’t afford to just feed people sweet things and yet not tell them of the meat. What I mean is we can’t continue to tickle man’s ears, not speaking all of God’s word, just telling them what they want to hear. Many don’t want to offend so they only speak of blessings and other things, speaking about the milk of the word but not the meat. So many are being guided in not such a good way. His word says, there are many who only want to tickle man’s ears. If we are serving Him for nothing more than to be known, to receive something from it, to please man, He knows it. If the churches and those who speak of His word continue to pick the Bible apart there will be nothing left.

Some say the old testament doesn’t go with the way things are now so they will leave it alone, not talk about it. There are some who say the old testament was canceled out when Jesus came. Then there are those who say that, well, that verse, that chapter, hits the heart of man to much so let’s not speak about it.

My best friend and sister in Christ, Pat, told me something many years ago that has stuck with me. “You can love someone right into hell.” That is something I never want to do. To please man more than God. The last thing I want to hear is the Lord saying to me, “I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”

We need to speak about the whole Bible not just certain parts, not change it to please man, not pick and choose only certain parts and leave other parts out. How will people truly grow in the Lord if they only hear what they want to hear. They end up with a spiritual congestion of the heart.

1 Corinthians 3:2 “As long as you grab for what makes you feel good or makes you look important, are you really much different than a babe at the breast, content only when everything’s going your way?”

2 Timothy 4:3 “For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching but having itching ears, they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions.”

Matthew 16:23 “Jesus turned and said to Peter, Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns.”
