I wrote this in 9/2015 after falling off a ladder.
I fought the tree and the tree won
I fought the tree and the tree won
It said you think you’re having fun
Cutting my limb but not for long
It wasn’t long just a little one
But it took me out and
I can’t have no fun
Yes, I fought the limb and the limb won
Yes, I fought the limb and the limb won
LOL!!!!!!!
To answer your question…..No I was not taking any prescription medication for pain. LOL!!
God wants us also to have joy and laughter in our life. In 2015 I was trying to remove a limb of a tree and thought I was on the bottom step, but I was on the third step up. When I stepped down, I met nothing but air until my left leg hit the ground and my knee went to the left. I crushed my tibia plateau and fractured the bone in two places below that. I never had surgery, rejected the pain medicine and 9 months later I was walking. God blessed me mightily with handling the pain. In the end the limb didn’t win. I learned a lot during the time that I was not able to do anything. I grew more in my God given gifts, learned I can’t do it all, and to ask for help.
I can walk and do most things I want to do, and I know it’s because of God. I could look at what happened in two ways, be angry or upset about it when it happened or to let go and let God have it. I tell these little stories and other things and laugh; it’s a release and I know God has no problem with us smiling and laughing. Laughter is the best weapon to fight satan and a release for us.
May God bless each of you with an abundance of smiles, laughter, and joy every day.
