Not long ago I heard someone say to another person that they missed seeing them. The person responded; I don’t think anyone would really miss me if I wasn’t here. That’s such a sad thing that even though they were among others they felt alone and felt if they were not there they would not be missed.
I am going to be honest here, since coming to God, I have seen this a lot in churches and other places. That is such a sad thing, that people feel that way. One place someone should never feel that, ever, is where others meet in Gods name. No one should ever feel like they are an outsider or lonely. The thing is we are never alone because God is always with us. My best friend and sister in Christ, Pat, told me long ago she had felt so alone, then one day God spoke to her, even if no one else was there for her God was.
I pray for the person I heard say those words that even if they feel alone or not missed, that they realize the Lord is always there for them. That He is someone they can always trust. He will never think they are not good enough. That when He doesn’t hear from them, He misses them. That even if man treats them like they are not wanted, not good enough, doesn’t fit in with the rest, that they know He will never treat them that way. That they are wanted and loved. You see, God is a God of always not a God of sometimes. I pray many who do not know that come to know it.
Hebrews 13:8 “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”
Colossians 3:14 “And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.”
1 Corinthians 13:4-8 “Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.”
