Woke up the other morning from a dream. I was in a house looking out a window, my attention was drawn up to the sky, I saw lights moving in the sky. As I stood there watching I noticed they were getting lower and closer. I then saw what it was, it was a plane, a big passenger plane, it was coming down but not on an airstrip. As I stood there looking it went to the right of the house. I ran outside watching as it bounced twice and hit trees. I took off running along with others toward the area where it crashed. As I got up to it, a woman, a younger girl and an older man came walking out from it. I saw no one else, just these three. I was amazed because of the size of the plane only three came out of the plane, it was not on fire, just somewhat broken apart. I started praying about it as soon as I sat up to write it down.
It made me think of something else. How life events can change many in their walk with God. When things happen, instead of reaching out to God, many push Him away. It’s like the parable of the sower. The seed is planted in many areas, spoken to many people, but as life events happen many will fall away.
May we stand strong in His word, stand strong in our faith, stand strong in our belief of who we are in Him. May nothing life throws at us effect our walk with God in any way and may our feet be planted so tight on the Rock, in Jesus, that not even a hurricane can move us off of it.
Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Matthew 13:18-23 “Now listen to the explanation of the parable about the farmer planting seeds: The seed that fell on the footpath represents those who hear the message about the Kingdom and don’t understand it. Then the evil one comes and snatches away the seed that was planted in their hearts. The seed on the rocky soil represents those who hear the message and immediately receive it with joy. But since they don’t have deep roots, they don’t last long. They fall away as soon as they have problems or are persecuted for believing God’s word. The seed that fell among the thorns represents those who hear God’s word, but all too quickly the message is crowded out by the worries of this life and the lure of wealth, so no fruit is produced. The seed that fell on good soil represents those who truly hear and understand God’s word and produce a harvest of thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as had been planted!”
