Back in 1990 I always wanted to drive an 18 wheeler so my husband and I talked and I ended up getting a job driving an 18 wheeler hauling logs. One day I was driving down a two lane road, heading to a mill to get unloaded when one of the biggest, that was different moments happened. As I drove on this two lane road that had no place to go on either side, just a ditch, something happened but didn’t happen.
I noticed backing out, to my right, was a truck that was hauling propane and it was backing out of a driveway. The person must have not seen me because it back out into the road. At the same time a car was coming toward me in the opposite lane. None of us, the car, myself in the rig and the propane truck had no place to go. I braced for impact and knew I was getting ready to take my last breath. I, as well as the car and propane truck were going to go up in a big ball of fire, but we didn’t because God had other plans!
At that time, I was not walking with the Lord. You see we all should have crashed and blown up, but it didn’t happen. The next thing I knew I was past the propane truck. The car was past us both and the butane truck was sitting there somewhat out of the driveway into the road. I am sure whoever was driving it was trying to catch their breath from almost having a heart-attack and trying to figure out how we all got through without a scratch or anything. When I came home, I told my husband I should not be here and then told him what happened, well, didn’t happen.
God had other plans for sure! There was no way, NO WAY at all that we should have gotten through that. That should have been my last minute here on earth, but it wasn’t. God knew in time I would find my way to Him and He knew the gifts He had blessed me with and knew what He wanted for me. It still took me years later to come to Him, but I did in 2006. I hit the ground running to God and I will not stop until I walk into heaven. Don’t underestimate when things like that happen. Miracles happen every day and when they do, we should always give Him the glory for them.
